The first thing I noticed about the villas of a room at the Disneyland Villas hotel is the size. If you are used to the standard hotel rooms, these suites designed with members of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) feel as an instant upgrade. They draw an intelligent balance between elf dust and the plush – illustrations of characteristics, playful colors and a few Mickey -shaped surprises accompany a huge living room with a sofa that serves as a bed of attraction, a dining room with space to spread, a kitchen stored with a refrigerator and an oven, and not one but no longer two Complete bathrooms.
This is the kind of configuration, it came to my mind during the recent stay of my family, which makes this DVC property feel more like at home than a hotel. The room is so spacious that at the beginning, I did not know that the bed was King-size. Sliding doors separate the space from the living room bedroom, providing intimacy to parents. And the two bathrooms of the suite are another strong point: we have a large soaking bathtub, a shower without an appointment and double vanities; The other has its own autonomous shower.
I associated my stay at the Disneyland Villas hotel with my very first visit to Disneyland himself, and it was an intelligent choice for several reasons. Here is my accelerated on the sole property of the DVC station in Disneyland.

A house far from home in Disneyland
Staying at the Disneyland Villas hotel looked a bit like a higher way to “do Disney”. You are a few steps from the parks and all the nostalgia of the original Disneyland hotel, but with a space designed to meet the needs of today’s families. The city center and dining room in downtown Disney are a few steps away, and you are at a distance from Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, both of which offer transparent access and early entry for hotel customers.
Anyone can book a room at the Disneyland Villas hotel – which varies from small studios to large three -bedroom villas – but for DVC members, the advantages do not stop in the large room. You have access to all the usual equipment of the Disneyland hotel, including its water slides inspired by the monorail, its huts and the Willie steam steam pad, as well as Whirlpool spas and a fitness center. And during our stay, the additional DVC benefits included events reserved for members such as cinema evenings and Sunrise yoga in front of Cinderella castle. (I did not participate in yoga, but we all appreciated the entrance to the early 30 -minute park to beat the crowd to the most popular rides.)
As a member of the Disney Vacation Club, you also get exclusive access to the Lounge reserved for members of the Star View station in Disneyland. Nestled inside Tomorrowland above the attraction of Star Wars Launch Bay, it is a silent and air-conditioned retreat with comfortable seats, charging stations and free fries and drinks a few steps from some of the most frequented attractions in the park. It is an ideal place to relax and recharge, literally and figured, especially if you are on a Park Hopper ticket and want to discover the two parks in one day without returning to the hotel between the two.
And if you are a fan of the various parades of parks and fireworks, DVC members can take advantage of first -rate visualization possibilities in the spaces reserved in the parks. I am generally not one for Disney parades, but it was a great advantage to have a shaded place to sit and rehydrate during the famous happy cavalcade.

Dinner at the Disneyland hotel villas
As part of the Greater Disneyland hotel, you easily have access to the full list of property restaurants. Coupled with the chamber service, the autocoure options in the room and restaurants in downtown Disney being a few steps away, food is never a reflection after the fact at the Villas of the Disneyland hotel.
For families with younger children, the star is GOOFY’s Kitchen, an unlimited buffet. My two teenagers were not too impressed by the Disney characters who stopped for photo sessions, but they really enjoyed the impressive buffet breakfast, especially the pizza is chocolate and marshmallow. My own favorite restaurant was the enchanted Tiki bar by Trader Sam, another place on the property with Tiki cocktails and an exaggerated menu that made me laugh aloud. I even bought a souvenir tiki cup.
Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill offers plates in the event of a quick box with a touch of island, perfect for a quick bite before heading to the parks. Coffee was my morning place to get my dose of caffeine and sit quietly outside with a book before the rest of my family begins. The Palm Breeze Bar, a more recent addition near the villas, serves drinks in California and crafts in a windy outdoor setting.
Of course, villa kitchens are their own advantage. You can store your fridge, prepare breakfast or even organize a family dinner directly in your suite. We ordered a pizza at a room service one night and we relaxed in our sweet to the evening fireworks show.

Pools at the Disneyland hotel villas
The centerpiece of the pool of the complex is the palette, a vibrating point of swimming with a large staircase through the width of the swimming pool, allowing you to dive from several points or simply to wade in one foot or two. Adjacent to this is the Willie Steam Pad Splash, a playground with spraying characteristics and misty effects for small children.
Customers staying in villas also have access to the wider complex of the Disneyland hotel swimming pool, which includes the online swimming pool, ideal for spacious and relaxing swimming; the D D swimming pool, perfect for swimming on knees or quiet dips; And (my favorite) the two water slides on the theme of the monorail, adding pleasure on the retro theme for children and adults. To take place after a full day in the parks, there are two heated heated spas.

Proximity to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure
The villas of the Disneyland hotel are about as centrally as you can go anywhere in or around the two parks. The property is directly adjacent to downtown Disney, the catering room and the commercial district. From there, it is about 10 minutes walk from Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure. You can also catch the monorail in downtown Disney, which will deliver you to one or the other of the parks. My family used the monorail exactly once, which was a fun way to see the parks from a different point of view, but for the rest of our stay, we found the most convent to walk everywhere.
All in all, the villas of the Disneyland hotel are an excellent mixture of spacious suites, thoughtful equipment, exclusive DVC advantages and close to attractions that facilitate relaxation between your theme park outings. For my family, the villas gave a seamless stay with more than disney additional magic to raise the experience beyond a standard hotel.
