The VIP visit that allows you to explore Halloween horror evenings from Universal to daylight

Halloween Horror Nights in Universal Orlando Resort is one of the biggest haunt events of the year in Orlando (but not the only one). I have friends who attend the terribly fun event every year, sometimes several times a season, but I have always been too afraid to make my way in the fog to Universal Studios Florida. Let’s say that my level of fear is more “Charlie Brown Halloween with ghosts and animated characters” than bloody models and frightening actors who pursue me with chainsaws.

But last year, I wanted to enter the Halloween spirit differently, especially after hearing all the media threshing on the house on the theme of Ghostbusters in Halloween Horror Nights. And if I am honest, Ghostbusters is not so frightening, right? Then, I remembered that Universal Orlando offers daytime visits from certain haunted houses. This is called behind the cries: unmask the horror tour. As a scary cat, it was the ideal way for me to dive my toes in the troubled water of Halloween horror nights. Here’s how it went.

Horror Nights Halloween tour reservation

Unmasking horror is a day and bright VIP visit to Halloween Horror Nights selections. The visit, which is also offered this year, can include three or six houses. I reserved the tour for three houses. What I impatiently expected in this tour is that all the lights of tents and sound internships are on and that there are no frightening actors in the house. The visit is frightening, unless you are easily surprised by bloody models hiding in the corners. The visit also includes the opportunity to take photos in certain areas of each house.

The visit ticket includes a visit to a VIP guide, which is a gold mine of information on each house and the Halloween horror evenings. The three -house tour lasts about two and a half hours, and visits to six houses last approximately five hours. There are not more than 12 people per group, regardless of the duration of the tour you book. Each person obtains a specific lanyard for the tour that belongs to you, and you will listen to the guide with a transmitter device and a earphone.

What I liked the most in the reservation process is that I did not need to buy an additional park ticket or the admission of Halloween horror evenings to go around, a rarity for themed visits that enter an open and operational park.

Because I led to Universal Orlando Resort the day of my tour, I gave myself a lot of time to park, lunch and go to the registration station for the visit. The parking lot took approximately 30 minutes a sunny Sunday morning, and it was about a 15 -minute walk from my car to Universal Citywalk, especially through safety.

After having lunch at Citywalk, I went to Soundstage 18 via an open door entrance to Citywalk near the last loop of the Hollywood Rip Rockit attraction at Universal Studios Florida. There was a large panel near the door with an arrow saying that the path was the right one for the behind the cries: unmask the horror tour.

Once inside the sound scene, recording was a breeze and I was taken to a table to spend time until the arrival of my guide. The table had my listening apparatus and my headphones, as well as the exclusive lanyard of the tour. The wait had a nice photo with some Halloween Horror Nights costumes.

Scary secrets revealed

The guide chose my group of seven sounds of sounds 18 until 12:30 p.m., but as everyone was there, we left a little earlier than our departure assigned at 12:45 pm. Our guide let us know that we could ask as many questions as we wanted while we are going from home to house and to cross the houses. It was a richness of knowledge and I loved all the details it highlighted along the tracks through the houses.

The houses that your group will cross are random, although a few days before my tour, I received an email listing the three that I crossed. They were Slaughter Sinema 2, the museum: deadly exhibitions and Terror triplets.

The museum: Mortal exhibitions in Halloween Horror Nights

We started at the museum: deadly exhibitions, which follows the story of a museum which is taken up by a cursed rock that releases a bad mind. At first, I was nervous to enter the house, especially since I had never done anything at a distance as scary as the Halloween horror evenings before. My guide assured me that everything would be fine and that nothing in the first house was too scary. Even if my apprehension was still palpable, I went to the hall of the museum surprised by all the complex details that enter the houses.

In this first house, our guide said that each Halloween Horror Nights event has an 18 -month planning process that begins in February in before the beginnings of a house or a frightening area. To keep things under the wraps, this year, houses all have desert code names so that internet hairstyles that like to look for construction permits do not know what the themes of the house will be before Universal is ready to announce them.

Funny fact: The name of the museum dessert code: Deadly Exhibitions was Baklava. Inside the museum hall, there is a plate of Baklava in the blink of an eye to its code name.

While we were continuing the house, I appreciated the deep level of narration, even if the night guests would never see all the details.

The second house we went through was Slaughter Sinema 2, which I had heard of friends was an essential house, so I was excited that it was on tour. Each play has a different horror film from Carey Drive-In. The code name of the house is cobbler, which is in the Mardi Gras de la Maison scene. This room also offers many pearls, which are real pearls of the Mardi Gras de Universal celebration in the spring.

Between each Big Show scene, the little corridors have films posters that highlight the invented film in which you would then enter. Seeing the film posters closely and watching the details without being precipitated was good.

This house also included a very detailed Christmas theme and a clown cave, the latter who was very claustrophobic because there was little light from the houses of the house. Our guide had a small flashlight and we were encouraged to use our telephone lights to see all the details. In the clown cave, we saw accessories from Dr. Oddfellow 2023.

Terror triplets

The last house that my group crossed was triplets of terror, and honestly, I was glad it was the last. Not only was it the more scary, but also quite bloody because it is a universal story Orlando Original Slasher. Work on my way to the more intense house was useful to me.

As the story says, the barmy triplets celebrate their birthday, but the party includes the recreation of the murder of their whole family. The exterior of the house presented the address 3324, a reference to Halloween Horror Nights 33 in 2024.

Passing the different rooms of this house was a little disturbing for me. While I have always appreciated the narrative elements, the story of the murder weighed heavily on me. When my group went halfway, I had to focus and focus on something else to keep my mind occupied.

My global experience on the Halloween Horror Nights tour

Although I loved a luminous tour and I ended up learning to appreciate what Halloween Horror Nights has to offer, I still don’t think I would be able to do the real night event. Some houses were frightening and frightening with the light lights and no scary actors, so I can’t imagine what they would look like in full spectacle with people who brought out of what our guide called “Boo Holes” to scare me while I was walking.

Would I reserve the tour again? Yes, but I would like to go with a group of friends who love Halloween horror evenings to see their excitement and their passion for the event while walking in houses too. And maybe I could hold my hands while crossing some of the more scary scenes of the houses.
